“Every day I am safe, respectful, responsible and ready to learn!”

 WELCOME TO BOULEVARD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL!

I have had the pleasure to assume the helm at Boulevard through the remainder of the 2012-2013 school year and am very excited to be here!  In the short time that I have been here, I’ve learned a lot about our students and the wonderful community that shares them with us.  I believe that elementary students have enormous potential to grow during these important years.

Whether they are in Kindergarten or preparing for the next step in their educational careers to middle school, each of our students is responsible for absorbing as much information as we can provide them to help them achieve academically and social-emotionally as well.  Boulevard provides a full curriculum and many ancillary services as well – among those are speech and language assistance, a school psychologist, social worker and nurse.  Also, we have a full time school counselor, before and after school programs, some free of charge, and a number of other offerings!

Boulevard grounds are large and inviting!  There is a variety of play equipment and detailed painted areas for games like hop-scotch and four square.  Two large fields are also used for kickball, soccer and other supervised games.  Step inside and you will see a well-kept, open-concept classroom floor plan on two floors.  These open spaces include everything you would expect to see – classroom furniture, student work displayed as well as current technology – SMART boards, iPads, MacBook Pros and a large computer lab.  Students are also provided additional support through our ELA (English Language Arts) in grades 1-4 as well as a full time science teacher through our STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) program.

While this only touches on some of the great things happening every day at Boulevard, we are especially proud and appreciative of the efforts of our school PTA.  This organization funds many teacher mini-grants, brings in artists and authors, and sponsors some great events throughout the year!

We invite you to come and visit our school!  We are always looking for volunteers but even if you aren’t able to do that, we’d love to see you and show you our school.
