Canterbury Elementary School Chess Competition

Canterbury Elementary School will host an Elementary School Chess competition Friday, December 16, 2011, from 4-7 p.m. The event will be held in the Canterbury Gym at 2530 Canterbury Road, Cleveland Heights. The competition will be open to all public school students in the CH-UH School District in grades K-5. Student will play at least four games without elimination. There will be two divisions, K-2 and 3-5. Chess sets, free pizza, and drinks will be provided to all participants. Registration fee is $12. Make checks payable and mail with the registration form to Progress With Chess, 12200 Fairhill Road, Cleveland, Ohio, 44120. The registration fee is $15 the day of the event from 3:20-3:55 p.m.; please have a completed registration form. Trophies will be presented to the top five individuals in each division, and a trophy will be presented to the school with the highest team score.
