Kindergarten Thanksgiving
December 8, 2011
Cleveland Heights, OH

Kindergartners at Canterbury culminated their learning of Pilgrim life and the first Thanksgiving by feasting together. All three classes gathered in Mrs. Slater's room to enjoy popcorn, which derives from one of the most important foods the Native Americans taught the Pilgrims how to grow. Each student attended in costume, wearing either the hat of the pilgrim boy, pilgrim girl, or the headband of a Native American. The classes also watched A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving.
