Coach Needed for Girls on the Run
January 11, 2012
Cleveland Heights, OH

Canterbury School is seeking volunteer coaches to help keep the national, self-esteem program of Girls on the Run at the school this spring starting March 5. While our school will be one of more than 30 NE Ohio locations offering the program, all locations are run by volunteers. All the lessons of the 10-week season include valuable topics such as gossiping, bullying, handling stress, gratitude, healthy relationships, & community service projects. In addition, the easy-to-follow curriculum includes short, topic-focused relays as well as 20 minute workouts that help to prepare the girls for an end-of-season Girls on the Run 5k. Coaches do not need to be runners or have coaching experience. Successful coaches need only serve as a role model for girls by showing up on time, being prepared, listening attentively, and by demonstrating a positive attitude! All new coaches must also attend attend a GOTR training on Feb. 12 or 15. For more information visit www.gotrgreatersummit.org or contact: Mrs. Gadowski at 216-371-7470
