Wrestler Takes Second at State Meet
Sophomore Georgiana Rivers placed second at the Ohio Girls Wrestling meet on March 10 at Chippewa High School. Her wrestling career began last summer when she was play-boxing in her front yard with a friend from the Heights wrestling team. The two wrestling coaches, Matyas Kovach and Willie Newton, were driving by and stopped to suggest that the athletes use their energy on the wrestling mats. Geongela Rivers placed 2nd in the middle school division.
