To welcome Chinese New Year on January 23^rd, the year of dragon, our students are preparing for the celebration in our school which is on 1/31 at PAW assembly. All the grades are doing different performance. There will be a play “Story of Chinese New Year” by the 4^th grade. Handkerchief dance is performed by some 2^nd grade students. Chinese jump rope is performed by some 3^rd graders and 5^th graders, etc. They are also learning a Chinese New Year song not only in Chinese class, also in our music class too! And the 5^th grade students are making long paper dragons in our art class for their show.

To experience the authentic Chinese community celebration, there will be a Chinese New Year celebration at Chinese Academy of Cleveland located in Shaker Hts middle school on January 28. The tickets are for sale, admission is $12 per person which includes dinner. It starts from 4:30 until 6:30.
