Gearity Professional Development School
Principal: Michele Evans
At Gearity Professional Development School, we center our experiences on providing a comprehensive and integrated education. As a foundation for life-long learning, Gearity will foster thinking skills and problem solving activities. We promote a positive attitude toward education and create positive self-perceptions for our students. The three R’s of Gearity include: Respect for oneself, respect for others, and respect for the environment. This serves as the foundation for our Soaring Stars Positive Behavior Program, in conjunction with our daily study of character education. Our academic and behavior expectations for students are: Learning First, Bodies Safe, and Kind words and Actions. We believe in the power of the parent, school, and student partnership.
Our campus is home to the District’s professional development program, in partnership with John Carroll University, where students are supported by Gearity staff, university professors, and education students. Also unique to the Gearity campus is the District’s Early Childhood Center. This program, with a separate entrance, is housed in a wing accommodating seven classrooms, and an age appropriate playground, highlighting our commitment to providing high-quality preschool services to children ages 3 – 5.
Your interest in our school and District is appreciated, and we look forward to educating your child. Gearity Professional Development School is a very special school where we nurture each and every child's potential. Our commitment to our students' success is paramount.
