Mrs. Hoang's First Graders Study Habitats

As part of Mrs. Hoang’s first grade ELA group’s writing center, students were studying habitats. Mrs. Hoang began with her students reading and writing about different habitats around the world. The next step was for students to further research animals living in the specific habitats. Mrs. Hoang and her students created individual webs to learn more about the specific details related to the animals and their habitats. The students culminated this writing center activity by creating dioramas depicting their animals in their habitats. Please see the accompanying pictures highlighting this exciting work.
