Noble Collects Stuffed Toys for Providence House

November 28, 2011
Cleveland Heights, OH

Teddy bears make kids feel good, and that’s why students at Noble Elementary will be collecting stuffed toys for Providence House from November 14 – December 21. Students participating in the collection by bringing in a stuffed toy to share with those in need will earn a ticket to the “Bear Dance” on Friday, December 23, at Noble with “DJ Disco Sullivan” (5th grade teacher Sean Sullivan).

If students reach their goal of 1,000 new or “like new” stuffed animals, Cleveland Heights Mayor Ed Kelley will visit Noble on December 21, at which time they will have the opportunity to cover Mayor Kelley with all the collected bears before they deliver them to the children at Providence House.

Providence House is the nation’s oldest crisis nursery, committed to child abuse prevention and family preservation.  The children who reside at Providence House have experienced homelessness, abuse or neglect, medical or mental health crisis, and/or domestic violence. Every child receives a stuffed-animal toy upon arrival.
