Laptop Information

The Cleveland Heights – University Heights City School District is moving forward to provide our students with a quality education to prepare them for their future. We now live in an interdependent global society where products and services can be secured anywhere in the world. The One to One Teaching and Learning with Technology initiative is designed to prepare students for their future, a world of digital technology, global information, and instant communication.

To achieve this vision, instruction must be grounded in rigor, relevance, and relationships tied to 21st Century skills. When teachers understand how to effectively use digital tools, within a wireless environment, and receive support, guidance, and help in evolving their instructional practice, all students’ learning will significantly increase.

By 2012 all Cleveland Heights – University Heights students and teachers in grades 6 through 12 will be learning with laptop computers in a wireless environment.

Increasing access to technology is essential for that future and laptops, within a wireless learning environment, help students to learn in deep and meaningful ways that prepare them for productive participation in a global economy.
