Welcome Roxboro students and families!
We hope you are having a great 2010-2011 school year. We are pleased to let you know that we have two PTA Co-Presidents again this year. Our Co-Presidents are Cynthia Larsen, parent of a 6th grader and an 8th grader, and Joyce Roper, parent of a 7th grader. The position of Vice President was filled by Joann Tate, mother of two 8th graders. We would like to have a second Vice President. If you are interested in learning more about what it means to be the VP, please contact Cynthia or Joyce.
PTA does much to enhance student life at Roxboro Middle School. We provide Mini-Grants for teachers, “Pastries for Parents” in September, achievement testing snacks, hospitality for school events and fun family activities. We welcome all volunteers. We have big jobs and small ones, jobs that can be done at home and ones at school, daytime work and evening work. Please sign up even if you can devote only an hour or two during the year to PTA.
We need your support to fund these activities. Please join PTA by filling out and returning the PTA membership envelope. Include a donation if you wish and all of your money will go directly to the school. We will have a Fall T-shirt/Sweatshirt Sale, the Spring Plant Sale (in partnership with Roxboro Elementary School) and one other fundraiser to be announced.
