Roxboro Elementary is a candidate school for the Primary Years Programme. Roxboro Elementary is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. IB World Schools have a common philosophy- a commitment to high-quality, challenging, international education- that we believe is important for our students.
Roxboro's IB Mission
Roxboro Elementary School is an International Baccalaureate Candidate School beginning the summer of 2011. In preparation to become an authorized IB school, each school needs to prepare a school mission created by the entire staff. This mission must be shared and taught to the entire student body and embraced by the school community.
Our mission at Roxboro Elementary, in partnership with our families and the community, is to empower our students to become respectful, positive, and compassionate life-long learners.
We challenge our students to become involved in our intercultural world with a rigorous, inquiry-based curriculum paired with diverse forms of assessment and reflective learning.
Our students will find their own voices, have confidence in their decisions, and develop the leadership skills to act for the good of all in a global society.
