Summer Reading 2025

Refer to your child's grade level for the 2025-2026 school year.
Happy Summer Reading, Tiger Nation!

Summer is here! Are you looking for a way to relax? Do you want to travel to new places? Do you want to learn something new? Or make new friends? Reading can be the answer to all of these questions! This summer is the perfect time for all students in grades K-12 to choose a book, manga, comic book, or audiobook to read or listen to. Everything counts!

The Cleveland Heights-University Heights City School District and Heights Libraries are working together to encourage all families to read. Summer Reading at the Heights Libraries is going green (and digital), with less paper but all the same fun. Log your reading, earn raffle tickets, and enter prize drawings right from your device. It’s simple. Register on Beanstack at heightslibrary.beanstack.org and log your daily reading for chances to win awesome prizes!

Remember, any kind of reading counts!  Here are three ways to access ebooks at no cost:
  • The Heights Libraries have a way to access ebooks; follow the directions here.
  • The app Open eBooks has access to titles through Clever.
  • Check out this resource from INFOhio to explore a variety of topics and access reading materials.

Have a great time reading this summer!
