Dear Oxford Families,

I love taking this time to reflect upon the wonders of the New Year. Watching your children flourish with the guidance of the fantastic teachers at Oxford Elementary School is a true blessing. While visiting classrooms, I witness children who are engaged and excited about their learning. I am very proud of the children and teachers at Oxford School, and I look forward to more great things in 2017.

December 2016

Dear Parents/Guardians:

As this year comes to a close, I can’t help but look back at all the wonderful happenings at Oxford PreK-5 for the 2016 school year. I feel so fortunate to be part of a community that works together as a family to provide support to all of our scholars. We have many programs that support our school community academically and emotionally.

As we review the past year, we can see that our efforts have been productive with assisting students and families. I commend our staff, parents and families for doing an outstanding job in providing all of our children with so much in the way of academic support, encouragement and love.

I look forward to our continued partnership in making Oxford a place where all children meet with success.

Wishing you a wonderful holiday season filled with happiness, lots of love and good health.

Principal Pronty

November 2016

My, how October has flown by. November is here, and it is a beautiful time of year. Try to get out and enjoy some fall activities as a family. At this Thanksgiving season, I would like to take a moment to express how grateful I am to be associated with the families and faculty at Oxford PreK-5.

As an administrator, I am thankful for students who cheerfully work hard to learn, parents who encourage, and teachers who are dedicated and truly care about each child. I am truly grateful for the opportunities our scholars have here at Oxford—experiences we continue to take advantage of to prepare our scholars for the real world. Thank you for your help, support, understanding, and friendship. There is no other place I would rather be. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
A quote to think about…
“A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove…but the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child.”

September/October 2016

The staff here at Oxford is a dedicated group of professionals that are working very hard each and every day to support student growth academically, socially, and emotionally. Our personalized learning approach allows staff to identify individual student needs and utilize the necessary resources to help that student be successful. All students have one-to-one access to technology (iPads or Chromebooks) to support those individual learning needs through a variety of programs.
School Culture and Climate is a major focus for everyone at Oxford. Through our Positive Behaviors Interventions and Supports (PBIS) we are cultivating a safe and positive learning environment for all students and staff. As we began our new school year, we find teachers establishing routines and procedures in the classroom. In the most successful classrooms, teachers have established specific routines for our Scholars to follow and are teaching behavior expectations.
Oxford has implemented a school-wide behavior model called CHAMPS. CHAMPS is an acronym that stands for Conversation, Help, Activity, Movement, Participation, and Success. All Scholars have been learning and reviewing this model.
It is an honor and a pleasure to be leading the wonderful staff here at Oxford in helping our scholars be successful! There are great things happening here and more to come!!
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.
