At the monthly regular Board of Education meeting on August 3, the Board recognized summer programming staff, Superintendent Kirby shared updates on the past month’s work, and Chief Financial Officer/Treasurer Angele Latham delivered her “3 Things” report.

Regular Meeting Overview
- Superintendent Kirby shared updates on the past month’s work within the five goals of the District’s Strategic Plan.
- The report included the Board department restructuring for the 2026-2027 school year.
- The Board approved a resolution submitting to the electors of the school district the question of an additional 6.5-mill tax levy for the purpose of current expenses, pursuant to Section 5705.21 of the Revised Code.
- Chief Financial Officer/Treasurer Angele Latham delivered her “3 Things” report, a monthly initiative to educate the community on school funding. The 3 Things for August center around the types of property tax levies and are:
- Operating (Current Expense)
- Emergency
- Permanent Improvement
