At the monthly regular Board of Education meeting on September 2, the Board and Superintendent Kirby recognized Heights High teacher Dr. Shu Hui Lin for being named the Ohio Master Teacher of the Year by the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation, Superintendent Kirby shared updates on the past month’s work, and Chief Financial Officer Angele Latham shared her Three Things for September.

Sponsors refer to the three bills collectively as the “Taxpayer Freedom Trilogy.” Latham explained the aims of each of the bills and why, as written, they would have a harmful financial impact on schools and other taxpayer-funded entities.
