Gearity's Teachers Celebrate Taylor Swift's New Album

Their lives might not be quite as glamorous as Taylor Swift’s but teachers at Gearity Professional Development School were excited to show their support for the beloved singer as she released her latest album “The Life of a Showgirl” on October 3.

Lifelong Swifties and Gearity teachers Stacey Friedman, Kristin Schultz, and Emily Elliott invited their colleagues to celebrate alongside them by wearing customized turquoise and orange t-shirts that read “The Life of a Teacher” or “The Life of a School Counselor” on the album’s release day.

In a fluke of fate, thirteen staff members opted in – the well-known favorite number of Taylor Swift, who loves word play, hidden meanings, and numerology.

Of course, the students noticed that their teachers were wearing new matching shirts and are equally excited to welcome Swift to Tiger Nation as she marries Heights High alum Travis Kelce, who intervention specialist Friedman describes as a role model to the students.

It is no doubt thrilling to have the two worldwide celebrities connected to our school district. As Friedman says, “Taylor Swift’s music brings joy to staff and students, bringing us together,” always a goal in the life of a school teacher.
