Summer Reading Information For Grades K-12
Summer is here! Are you looking for a way to relax? Do you want to travel to new places? Do you want to learn something new? Or make new friends? Reading can be the answer to all of these questions! This summer is the perfect time for all students in grades K-12 to choose a book, manga, comic book, or audiobook to read or listen to. Everything counts!
This year, we are continuing to encourage all families to enroll in the Heights Library Summer Reading Program beginning June 1. Stop by any Heights Library branch for a paper reading tracker, or participate online by registering here. The program is simple: select a prize book at registration, get an ice cream voucher from Ben & Jerry's at 15 days of reading (while supplies last), and select yet another prize book at 30 days of reading! Plus, participants will earn raffle tickets along the way for the chance to win prizes.
Remember, any kind of reading counts! Here are three ways to access ebooks at no cost:
-
The Heights Libraries have a way to access ebooks; follow the directions here.
-
The app Open eBooks has access to titles through Clever.
-
Check out this resource from INFOhio to explore a variety of topics and access reading materials.
