English Composition Students Visit Tri-C

Dr. Feldman's English classes at Tri-C

May 21, 2019 -- Dr. Donna Feldman’s College Composition classes and English I first period, co-taught with Mr. Christian Jolley, visited the Tri-C Eastern Campus on April 5.

The Heights High College Composition course is a College Credit Plus (CCP) course that grants students Tri-C credit for the class.

After being greeted by the Associate Dean of Liberal Arts Dr. Cunion, Media Specialist  John Rasel led a presentation about the differences between high school and college media centers and essay expectations.

The Heights students joined Tri-C students for a presentation, CCP and Beyond and learned about the history, benefits, and transferability of CCP classes.

The final presentation of the day was about financial aid. Students learned about the different types of aid, how and when to apply, and how Tri-C can help them. They also learned Tri-C can be free for qualifying students.

The final activity for the CCP students was to receive their Tri-C IDs. All students received a tote bag of information and a boxed lunch.
