June 6, 2019 -- The Tiger Nation community is invited to a Celebration of Life event honoring Coach Jim Cappelletti on Saturday, June 15 at Heights High.

The event will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. at Cappelletti Court. Attendees can enjoy sharing their memories of Coach Cap and reconnecting with former teammates and coaches.

 

Cappelletti, known fondly as Coach Cap, spent 45 years in the CH-UH District and won 539 basketball games in his coaching career. He was inducted into the Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2011. In 2018, Heights High School dedicated its new basketball court in his honor. He passed away at age 85 in early May.
