August 28, 2019 -- Thirty-six Heights High students received Advanced Placement (AP) Scholar Awards. The National AP Program recognizes high school students who have demonstrated outstanding college-level achievement through their performance on AP Exams.
The College Board administers the program with AP courses that includes an end of course exam. Students receive a score of 1-5 on the exam. Scores of 3-5 may provide advanced placement when students attend college.

The National AP Scholar Award is granted to students in the United States who received an average score of at least 4 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams.

The AP Scholar with Distinction Award is granted to who received an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams.
