Roxboro Middle School Students Visit Super Electric Pinball Parlor

Oct. 24, 2019 -- For students with special learning needs, a considerable aspect of our district’s curriculum is learning about the expected and unexpected behaviors one may experience in community settings, handling money and potential employment options, and identifying positive, age-appropriate hobbies and personal interests. To help practice these skills, Mr. Goldberg’s classes at Roxboro Middle School go on many community visits each year. Last month's visit to the Super Electric Pinball Parlor in the Gordon Square Arts District was a “particularly noteworthy” experience for students according to the Intervention Specialist.

“Nathan Murray, co-owner of Super Electric Pinball Parlor, was incredibly welcoming to our classes, opening the space several hours early and providing students with an infinite number of game tokens at no cost at all! He was enthusiastic about having our students learn about pinball and gracious with all of our questions” says Mr. Goldberg.
