In-Person Election Day Canceled

Mar. 17, 2020 (updated Mar. 26, 2020) -- The March 17 in-person Election Day was canceled due to health concerns surrounding COVID-19. There will be no traditional in-person Election Day, so Ohioans will be casting their primary ballots through the mail.

The Cuyahoga County Board of Election has an application to receive a mail-in ballot here. Your county office must receive your absentee request by Saturday, April 25 at noon and your completed ballot must be postmarked by April 27 to be counted.

On this ballot, our District is asking the community for a new, additional tax levy of 7.9 mills, equating to approximately $8.8 million annually. This millage is due largely to the rapid, unsustainable expansion of EdChoice. If it were not for the way EdChoice was funded, the District would not be on the ballot until 2023, and the millage would be less. It will cost homeowners approximately $23 per month for every $100,000 in home value. Read more about Issue 26 and the EdChoice impact.
