Dec. 8, 2017 -- The Heights Libraries have many activities planned to keep kids and teens busy when the weather's cold, including crafts, LEGO parties and teen leadership opportunities.  
 
For Kids

Library Afterschool Fun: Make Your Own Floam
Wednesday, Dec. 13, 3:30 p.m. at the Lee Road branch, 2345 Lee Road
Make your own squishy, squashy, crinkly floam: the slime that holds its shape!

Mug Makers
Thursday, December 14, 6 p.m. at the University Heights branch, 13866 Cedar Road
The weather outside is frightful, but with your very own coco mug the long winter nights will be so delightful. Sign up to decorate your own mug with sharpies and warm up with some cookies and coco. Registration required at

Winter break LEGO Party
Friday, December 29, 4 p.m. at the Coventry branch, 1925 Coventry Road
Spend the afternoon building the Lego creations of your dreams! Master Builders to Newbies are all welcome! Registration Begins December 15th.

Teen Library Council

Are you a teen interested in making a difference in your community? Start right here at your library! Teen Library Council is a place where teens can share their thoughts and ideas on how to make our community a better place.

Teens & Zines
Wednesday, Dec. 20. 4 p.m. at the Noble Neighborhood Branch, 2800 Noble Road
Explore the creative world of zines with examples of different stories and styles. Then try your hand at your own pieces. Bring your ideas and friends!

Afterschool Zone
Mon- Fri, 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. at the Noble Neighborhood Branch, 2800 Noble Road
Teens can drop by every weekday afternoon from 3:30-5:30 to hang out with your friends, play games and have fun! Grades 6-12.

Teen Afternoon Spot
Mon-Fri, 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Lee Road branch, 2345 Lee Road
Play video games, participate in tabletop gaming, watch anime, and more! Every weekday from 3-6 p.m. the teen room is reserved for teens in middle school and high school, so stop on in and see what we have going on.
