Jan. 23, 2019 -- Lake Erie Ink is hosting an all-ages playwriting workshop, as well as comedy classes for teens, beginning at the end of January.
Stage Write: Playwriting is a two-part workshop in which students of all ages can work on their submission to the Marilyn Bianchi Kids Playwriting Festival. The classes are January 26 and February 2 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Dobama Theatre. The cost is $10 at the door, with scholarships available.
At Stage Write: Comedy Club, youth in grades 6-12 can work with a stand-up comedian to learn all about writing and performing comedy. Explore improv games, monologues, standup and sketch comedy. Program ends in a final performance. It runs Mondays from 6:30-8 p.m., January 28 - March 18, 2019. The cost is $75 for the 8-week session; scholarships available.
