High School Social Workers Lead Tiger Talk Series

January 13, 2021 -- The Heights High School and Delisle Options Center social workers, in collaboration with MetroHealth School Health Program, will be sponsoring a Tiger Talk Series which will run monthly until the end of the school year. This series will focus on a variety of topics that address social and emotional barriers that hinder academic success. To begin the series, the school social workers and health professionals will focus on coping with grief and loss during COVID. This loss includes friends, loved ones, sports, extra-curricular activities, and more.

The 9th and 10th graders will engage in a separate session than the 11th and 12th graders, allowing more age-based content to be shared. Students can access the series through Google Meets from 11:35 am - 12:20 pm on their prospective days.

In addition, there will be opportunities for parents to join evening sessions to discuss similar topics. The first session for parents will be held on Thursday, January 14th from 6:30 pm-7:30 pm and can be accessed through Google Meets.
