Dec. 3, 2020 -- GEAR UP 2 New Heights is launching a 9-week self-paced standardized test prep competition through Khan Academy to increase the number of students prepared to take the PSAT. GEAR UP is a grant-funded program that follows one cohort of students from 7th grade through the completion of their first post-high school year with the intention of increasing college attendance and retention rates.
During their Winter PSAT Competition, students will learn different testing strategies that will set them up for success. Students will also be eligible to win prizes for meeting weekly project benchmarks during the competition period. The competition will run from November 30th through January 18th, with the PSAT date being Tuesday, January 26th. Prizes include a driving school scholarship, three Visa gift cards, and a DoorDash gift card.
