Oct. 16, 2024 -- Second graders at Noble recently had the chance to partner up as book buddies with college students at Case Western Reserve University. The collaboration is the idea of a Noble parent who teaches the students at Case. The partnership aligns with Noble’s AVID mission to close the achievement gap by preparing students for college and career readiness and success in a global society.
As part of the partnership, the second graders will have the opportunity to visit Case in November. Students will explore college classrooms, spend time with their book buddies, and take pictures with Case’s mascot, Spartie.
Special thanks to Deb Elwell for coordinating the book buddy program, Mary Windham, Creed Orme, and Cara Byrne. The District would also like to thank the Kelvin Smith Library, and CWRU’s English Department/Writing program for the swag and books.
