Nov. 14, 2024 -- Monticello Middle School math and robotics teacher Jon Diligente has been named the University Heights Educator of the Year for 2024.  

"Mr. Diligente is a caring, energetic, and dedicated educator," said Superintendent Elizabeth Kirby. "In his learning spaces, you'll see engaged, inquisitive students who truly enjoy being in his class."

At its annual Civic Awards, the City of University Heights honors local residents, employees, leaders and volunteers who are making a difference in the community. Past University Heights Educators of the Year from CH-UH include Dr. Sally Mascia (2023), Tina J. Reynolds (2022), O'Dasha Blue (2021), Amanda Blazetic (2020), Dr. Fiona Connor (2019), and Dr. Talisa Dixon (2018).
