From Cleveland Heights High School Athletic Director Joe D’Amato:
Cleveland Heights High School Head Football Coach Mac Stephens submitted his resignation today. In his nearly 10 years with us, Coach Stephens brought a great deal of passion and commitment to our football program, championing his “Heights Blueprint” philosophy of academic excellence, social responsibility, and athletic effort. His leadership is evident in his recent honor of being named the Cleveland Browns Coach of the Year. We thank him for all he has done for the Tigers football program, and we wish him the very best in his future endeavors.
As we begin the search for our next coach, we must be deliberate in finding the right fit for our athletes and community. We anticipate that there will be a lot of interest in the head football coach position at Cleveland Heights High School and we will work hard to find the right leader to take this team to the next level. We look forward to a bright future for Heights football.
