Jan. 8, 2025 -- At the annual organizational/monthly regular Board of Education meeting on January 7, the Board elected its leadership for 2025, Heights High students shared happenings at the school, and Chief Financial Officer Scott Gainer presented his “Three Things” for the month.
Organizational Meeting
- The Board elected Malia Lewis as President, Gabe Crenshaw as Vice President, and Phil Trimble as Treasurer Pro Tem for 2025.

Regular Meeting Overview
- Heights High School senior Shaniya Smith and freshman Tyler Wilson delivered the Superintendent’s Student Cadre Report, sharing updates on Heights High news and personal reflections on their time in CH-UH schools.
- Superintendent Kirby shared updates on the past month’s work within the five goals of the District’s Strategic Plan.
- Chief Financial Officer Scott Gainer delivered his “3 Things” report, a monthly initiative to educate the community on school funding. The 3 Things for January were:
