September 11, 2024
Dear CH-UH Families,
As we shared in July, the District has joined the Cleveland Browns Stay in the Game (SITG) Attendance Network this year. We will be sharing information about attendance and working with the Cleveland Browns Foundation to provide incentives and awards to students who improve their attendance or have good attendance throughout the year.
September is Attendance Awareness Month, and to celebrate, the Cleveland Browns have given us two signed game day footballs: one signed by Myles Garrett and the other by David Njoku. There are two ways to be automatically entered to win a football:
1) Have perfect school attendance from September 16-October 11.
2) Fill out, sign, and turn in a paper Attendance Pledge card at your school. This includes the “Why does school attendance matter to you?” section.
Details and rules:
- Schools will begin distributing the Attendance Pledge cards to students during the week of September 16. Students can also sign a pledge card at the Heights Homecoming football game on September 13.
- One student will be randomly selected from each of these two categories (perfect attendance and Attendance Pledge card) to win a signed football.
- A student can have perfect attendance and submit a pledge card, thereby increasing their chances of winning.
- One student cannot win both footballs.
- Limit one pledge card submission per student. Signed pledge cards must be turned in by October 11.
- Staff will help students who need assistance with writing.
The two winners will be selected and announced after October 11.
Good luck and pledge to Stay in the Game this year!
Sincerely,
Nancy Peppler
