Letter from Principal McKinnie: Welcome Students & Families

August 6, 2021

Dear Heights High School Students and Families:

As Interim Principal of Cleveland Heights High School, it is my pleasure to welcome our students to the 2021-22 school year!  The staff and I are excited to have students back in our classrooms and hallways, filling them with energy and enthusiasm for learning.

It is our mission to help every student feel welcomed, connected and a part of our Heights family!

Our teachers utilize research-based best practices and analyze academic data to set goals for students’ growth and improvement. We believe all students should graduate from Heights High prepared for the demands of post-secondary education, meaningful careers and effective citizenship.
We hope that you will find our weekly ‘Tiger-Peek of the Week’ Newsletters and our website helpful and informative. We will also feature dates for events and activities in the ‘Calendar’ feature this year!

I am honored to serve as the Interim Principal of Heights High!  It is truly a privilege to be a part of a community where parents, students and teachers care for each other and strive to build positive relationships that support academic and social growth.

Looking forward to making this school year one of growth and achievement for all students!

Alisa Lawson-McKinnie, PhD.
