Feb. 11, 2021 -- On February 10, the District learned of three staff members who recently tested positive for COVID-19. All staff members are currently resting at home. Details:
1: Heights High
The employee was last in the Heights High School building on Monday, February 8. Cleaning and disinfecting of the spaces the staff member occupied, which include the main entrance check-in area and the security spaces, took place late yesterday afternoon.
2: Canterbury
The employee was last in the Canterbury building on Friday, February 5. Cleaning and disinfecting of the space the staff member occupied, one classroom, took place yesterday evening.
3: District
The employee worked in the Gearity building on Monday, February 8. Cleaning and disinfecting of the spaces the staff member occupied, which include the main office, workroom, one office, and cafeteria, took place yesterday morning. The individual also worked in the Roxboro Middle School building on February 8. Cleaning and disinfecting of the spaces the staff member occupied, which include one office, the copy room, and room 104, took place yesterday morning.
We are working closely with the Cuyahoga County Health Department and anyone identified as a close contact will be notified by the health department as a part of COVID-19 investigation.

Spread of COVID-19 is currently happening in our community. This is why it is so important for all students and staff to adhere to the key public health prevention strategies to reduce the chance for transmission of COVID-19, including:
- Wearing a face mask
- Social distancing of at least 6 feet
- Frequent hand washing with soap and water
- Hand sanitizing when soap and water are not available
- Staying home when you do not feel well
- Disinfecting high-touch surfaces regularly
- Not sharing food, drinks, cups and utensils
- Avoiding large gatherings of 10 or more people
