Heights High Projects Positive Focus During Curriculum Night

Sept. 10, 2021 -- Heights High School hosted a successful Curriculum Night as they focused on positively supporting and preparing students for academic success. Many families had the opportunity to walk through their students' schedules and learn more about the curriculum and classroom policies.

The Multicultural Student Association Network and cheerleaders supported in welcoming families, helping them find classrooms, and sharing more about life at Heights. Open Doors Academy and the Career Tech Education representatives were available to answer questions and offer services to assist in after-school programming and a career-centered future for students.

The overall energy of the Curriculum Night was very encouraging as Dr. McKinnie and her administrative team shared the new high school Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports initiative, class-centered checklists, social-emotional work, goals for student's grades, and ultimately the 2021-2022 motto, "Together we Reunite Inspire Support Excel."
