Mar. 25, 2021 -- This afternoon, the District learned of a recent confirmed case of COVID-19 in a Board of Education employee. The staff member was last in the BOE building on Tuesday, March 23. Additional cleaning and disinfecting of the space the staff member occupied, the finance work area, occurred earlier today. The individual is currently resting at home.
We are working closely with the Cuyahoga County Health Department and anyone identified as a close contact will be notified by the health department as a part of COVID-19 investigation.
If CCBH contacts you as part of a COVID-19 investigation, please cooperate fully to ensure the safety and health of our entire community. It is also important that we show kindness and understanding to those who may be identified as a case of COVID-19 or as a close contact.
Spread of COVID-19 is currently happening in our community. This is why it is so important for all students and staff to adhere to the key public health prevention strategies to reduce the chance for transmission of COVID-19, including:
- Wearing a face mask
- Social distancing
- Frequent hand washing with soap and water
- Hand sanitizing when soap and water are not available
- Staying home when you do not feel well
- Disinfecting high-touch surfaces regularly
- Not sharing food, drinks, cups and utensils
- Avoiding large gatherings of 10 or more people
