District PTA Council Hosts Clothing Drive, Ends Nov. 22

Nov. 16, 2021 -- After watching the recent humanitarian crisis quickly unfold in Afghanistan, many members of the community have been searching for ways to help Afghan families who have resettled in northeast Ohio. Most have no connections in the area and will undoubtedly face challenges as they rebuild their lives in a new country.

The Community Behavioral Health Center, in Beachwood Ohio, has organized pro bono services. They are also working with Catholic Charities and the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants to help families with mental healthcare needs as well as learning daily life skills such as obtaining housing, enrolling children in school, registering for health insurance and using public transportation. In conjunction with the Community Behavioral Health Center, the District PTA Council has organized a clothing drive.

Drop off boxes are available at each school building to start collecting donations on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 through Monday, November 22, 2021. All items donated will be greatly appreciated.
