Nov. 12, 2021 -- The Digital Video Production Studio at Heights High was the backdrop for the Lake Erie League (LEL) Basketball Media Day on November 9, 2021 with several coaches and student athletes taking center stage. The LEL includes some northeast Ohio high school sports teams of which Heights High is a member. Brian Raymont of the LEL interviewed the teams during the 2-hour livestream, asking them what they’re looking forward to in the upcoming basketball season.

Heights Athletic Director Joe D’Amato organized the event, working in partnership with Marc Brown in the Information Technology Department and Cynthia Booker, Digital Video Production teacher in the Career and Technical Education (CTE) program. The production crew included students from DVP, Intro to Television Production and the Television Club. Their roles included camera operator, floor director, audio engineer, and assistant technical director. The livestream gave students an opportunity for experiential learning, a key component of Career and Technical Education.
