District Announces Lineup for Camps, Summer School

Mar. 3, 2023 -- The CH-UH City School District is pleased to announce our lineup of summer 2023 programming.

Pre-K Tiger Cub Camp
This program is for currently enrolled CH-UH Pre-K students who are registered to attend our CH-UH Kindergarten in the fall. Tiger Cub Camp will take place at Gearity Elementary School and will run from June 6-June 29, three days (T/W/Th) per week from 9 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

K-5 Tiger Camp
This program is for elementary students completing grades kindergarten through fifth grade. This year’s Tiger Camp is by invitation only, based on students’ needs in the academic areas of literacy and mathematics. Tiger Camp will run from June 12 through July 21 at Cleveland Heights High School.

Elementary Camp Invention
This STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) camp is an enrichment opportunity for elementary students completing grades second through fifth grade. Camp Invention will run for one week from July 24-28, from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. The cost is $260, but the first 200 students to register will only pay the reduced rate of $100 for the week.

Middle School Summer
This program is for current middle school students who are in need of additional academic support before the 2023-2024 school year. This year’s Middle School Summer Program is by invitation only, based on students’ needs in the academic areas of literacy and mathematics. Middle School Summer will run from June 12-July 21 at Cleveland Heights High School.

High School Summer School
This program is for students currently in grades 9 through 12 and is geared towards helping students earn initial credit or credit recovery courses needed for high school graduation or acceleration within the student's planned course of study. Summer School will run from June 12-July 21 at Cleveland Heights High School. Students can take up to 2 courses in the summer session, with a fee of $100 per course.

High School/Middle School Algebra Bridge
This program is geared towards building the necessary skills for Algebra readiness. The target student population is students in grades 7 through 9 who will be taking Algebra 1 next year at the middle school or as a 9th grader. The Algebra Bridge course will take place from June 12-July 21 at Cleveland Heights High School. Successful completion of the Algebra Bridge program is not a substitute for earning the required Algebra 1 credit.

High School AP Success Camp
This program is geared towards supporting students prior to their 2023-2024 school year Advanced Placement Courses. AP Success Camp will take place on June 6, 7, and 8, from 9:00 am to 12:00 p.m., at Cleveland Heights High School.
