Mar. 26, 2025 -- The Chinese New Year Performance at Heights High was a resounding success, as students took the stage to showcase their talents and cultural knowledge in a lively and immersive celebration of the Lunar New Year on March 4, 2025. The auditorium buzzed with excitement, as families, friends, and classmates gathered for an evening filled with music, dance, and interactive cultural experiences.
The event opened with a dynamic Dragon Dance, setting an energetic tone for the evening. Students from all levels of the Chinese language program participated in a variety of performances, including the Fitness Dance, the Kung Fu Fan Dance, a fashion show, and several traditional songs such as Gong xi, Gong xi. The audience also had the opportunity to take part in an interactive quiz on Chinese culture and the zodiac, making the experience both educational and engaging.
Throughout the night, students performed with confidence and enthusiasm, displaying their hard work, dedication, and deep appreciation for Chinese culture. Many proud parents eagerly captured the moment, taking countless photos and videos of their children on stage.

Following the performance, parents and attendees shared glowing reviews, calling it “another great and wonderful show.” Many praised not only the students’ language progress but also their passion for embracing cultural traditions.
Dr. Shu Hui Lin and Mr. Dai Yu Tsai, Heights High’s Chinese Language and Culture teachers, were delighted with the outcome. “Seeing the students shine on stage while sharing their learning with the community was incredibly rewarding.
