Feb. 5, 2016 -- Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C) is offering free personal income tax filing. They are offering this to qualified taxpayers filing simple returns with a 2015 earned income of less than $62,000. The personal income tax filing service may also be available to assist with Schedule D, 1099-C, 1099-A and Schedule C. Married couples must file joint and both must be present.
IRS also has the Volunteer Tax Assistance (VITA) program. This program offers free tax preparation to those who make $54,000 or less, persons with disabilities, the elderly and limited English speaking taxpayers. Find the location near you by changing the zip code.
