Junior Pens Cleveland.com Article on Outdoor Study Program Cut Short
April 23, 2020 -- Heights High junior Maple Buescher began her second semester at High Mountain Institute in Leadville, Colorado. She planned to study at the boarding school and learn in a different way and in a different place before returning for her senior year at Heights High.
Then the COVID-19 pandemic happened, and she and all of the HMI students left the Colorado Rockies and headed back home.
