July 30, 2019 -- Dr. Christina Bauer has been named the Coordinator of Technology for the CH-UH City School District.

Dr. Bauer just completed her twentieth year with CH-UH schools. She started her career in 1999 at Oxford Elementary, where she taught Title 1 reading, kindergarten, and second grade. In 2010, she moved to Cleveland Heights High School as a Program Specialist for Technology. Since 2015, Dr. Bauer has worked at the Board of Education serving PK-12 teachers and students with technology integration, including blended and online learning.

In addition to helping lead the District’s transition to G Suite (Google) for Education in 2016, Dr. Bauer facilitated the addition of Chromebook carts to grades 2-12 classrooms. Dr. Bauer is a Google Certified Educator (Levels 1 and 2) and Google Certified Trainer. As a trainer, she has helped more than 60 CH-UH teachers achieve Google certification, an examination process which recognizes educators who know how to implement Google tools in their classrooms.

"I look forward to leading our District's efforts to foster innovative, technology-empowered learning environments," said Dr. Bauer.

Dr. Bauer has a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Marietta College, a Master’s degree in Educational Technology from Cleveland State University, an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Administration from Cleveland State University, and a Doctorate degree in School Leadership from Concordia University Chicago. As a Nationally Board Certified Teacher, she is among roughly three percent of the nation’s educators who hold this rigorous credential through the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.
