Oct. 18, 2019 -- Families with children younger than 5 in Cleveland Heights and University Heights can receive age-appropriate, high quality books mailed to their homes for free.

It's all part of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library program, in partnership with The Literacy Cooperative and the Heights Family Foundation. To enroll, parents of children 4 ½ years old and younger can visit their local library branch or visit literacycooperative.org and click on the Imagination Library logo. Books will arrive 6-8 weeks after registering. There is no cost or obligation to the child’s family.

The program is available in Cleveland Heights and University Heights, as well as East Cleveland, Euclid, Shaker Heights, Wickliffe, parts of Cleveland, and school districts of Bedford, Garfield Heights, Maple Heights, and Warrensville Heights.

Listen to the September 4 segment from The Sound of Ideas on how to raise a reader, featuring CH-UH City Schools parent and advocate Joan Spoerl. Joan is the Imagination Library Program Coordinator for The Literacy Cooperative.
