For Kids

Library Afterschool Fun: Kids Engineering Club
Wednesdays in November at the Noble Branch, 2800 Noble Road
Every Wednesday after school kids in grades K-5 will combine science, technology, engineering, arts, and math to learn about everything from robotics to coding. Come make, connect, and discover!

Mad Science STEM Night
Monday, November 5, 5:30 p.m. at the Coventry Village branch, 1925 Coventry Road
Curious about how the world around you works? Want to learn how to design and build cool contraptions? Join us as we harness our inner mad scientists and make science fun!

Library Afterschool Fun: Salt Painting
Wednesday, November 14, 3:30 p.m. at the Lee Road branch, 2345 Lee Road
Join us as we make process oriented art with paint, salt and glue.

Library Afterschool Fun: Reader's Tea Party
Monday, November 26, 4 p.m. at the University Heights branch, 13866 Cedar Road
Have you just finished a book and need to tell EVERYONE about it!? Or maybe you just can't find the right book to read next. Pull up a chair at our tea party. We'll be talking books in style with tea and crumpets. Join us won't you? BYO tea cup! For readers ages 8-12.

Deaf Entertainer John Maucere

Internationally acclaimed Deaf entertainer John Maucere will present a life stage performance at the Cleveland Heights High School Auditorium, 13263 Cedar Rd. in a special free appearance sponsored by Heights Libraries.

Teen Chopped Challenge
Thursday, November 8, 3:30 p.m. at the Lee Road branch, 2345 Lee Road
Love cooking shows? Compete in the Teen Chopped Challenge! Create an appetizer and dessert using mystery basket ingredients, and get judged on presentation, taste, and creativity. May the best chef win! For ages 13-18.

"Voices from the Heights II" - Heights Community Congress
Monday, November 12, 7 p.m. at the Lee Road branch, 2345 Lee Road
Many in our community have fought for social justice and embraced the gifts of diversity. Filming live in front of a studio audience, this video project, in partnership with Heights High, explores and documents these stories, re-energizing and refocusing the continued work of fairness for all.
