Storybook Ball, Film Festival This Month at Heights Libraries

Kids

Storybook Ball
Thursday, Jan. 10, 6 p.m. at the Lee Road branch, 2345 Lee Road
Hear ye! Hear ye! Book lovers of all ages are cordially invited to an enchanting evening of dancing, stories, crafts, games, and more! Come as your favorite character or don your fanciest, most extraordinary attire. Hos d'oeuvres and light refreshments will be provided. Registration begins Dec 27.

Make Your Own Musical Instruments
Tuesday, Jan. 15, at 4:30 p.m. at the Coventry Branch, 1925 Coventry Road
Join us once a month to create one-of-a-kind musical instruments to take home and jam out with friends at the Coventry Library. We provide the supplies, and you will build your own flutes, drums, and more! 

Puzzle Challenge
Saturday, Jan. 19 at 2 p.m. at the University Heights branch, 13866 Cedar Road
Calling all puzzlers! Compete as an individual or with a team in a puzzle challenge. You'll complete a circuit of different puzzles in a variety of styles and for a variety of ages. Come with family and friends to put your puzzling brain to the test.

Noble Short Film Festival
Saturday, Jan. 26, at 2 p.m. at the Noble Branch, 2800 Noble Road

Teen Tea Party

The winter chill starting to get to you? Or perhaps you are just feeling extra fancy? Come to the Lee Road Teen Room after school for a warm spot o' tea and an assortment of snacks. #PinkiesUp 

Tai Chi
Thursday, Jan. 10, 3:30 p.m. at the Noble Branch, 2800 Noble Road
Test out Tai Chi in the teen room. The instructor will give us an introduction to the Yang style form of this exercise. The movements are designed for health and meditation. Please wear loose and comfortable clothing and listen to your body. Registration begins two weeks before each event.

Wild Wednesdays Mystery Spot
Wednesday, Jan. 16 at 2 p.m. at the University Heights branch, 13866 Cedar Road
What goes on at Mystery Spot? It could be a craft or making something sweet, but you'll only find out if you come! Mark your calendars so you don't miss the surprise.

20th Annual Teen Poetry Slam
Thursday, Jan. 24, 6:00 p.m. at the Lee Road branch, 2345 Lee Road
Join us at the 20th Annual Teen Poetry Slam! Hosted by Heights Libraries and Lake Erie Ink, the slam is open to all high school students. Poets should have 3 poems ready to perform for a panel of guest judges. Email [email protected] to register, or just come watch and support!
