Black History Month Events in CH-UH Schools

Feb. 7, 2019 -- All throughout February, CH-UH schools are hosting events and educational activities celebrating Black history, achievements and culture. 
 
Boulevard
“Unsung Heroes” Wax Museum project (K-5)
This runs all month, and students will present at the Soul Food Cafe on February 20, 6 p.m.

Facts and other topics will be covered during the video morning announcements
 
Fairfax
Daily facts, weekly trivia, soul food lunch for staff potluck style, African attire/dress day, (IB push-in) African countries study with IB coordinator, indoor recess activities, performances, Brown Girl Dreaming connection with 4th & 5th grades, music by African American artists during lunch, culminating activity with creative arts team
 
Oxford
Hts. Gospel Choir performs February 8
 
Praise Dancing Enrichment Program for grades 2 - 5, with a culminating performance at the assembly on February 28
