Heights High Student Tests Positive For COVID-19
Jan. 4, 2021 -- This morning, the District learned of a recent confirmed case of COVID-19 in a Heights High student. This student had been learning remotely but was briefly in the Heights High School building on Friday, December 18. Cleaning and disinfecting of the space the student occupied, the main entrance, took place this afternoon. The individual is currently resting at home.

We are working closely with the Cuyahoga County Health Department and anyone identified as a close contact will be notified by the health department as a part of COVID-19 investigation.

If CCBH contacts you as part of a COVID-19 investigation, please cooperate fully to ensure the safety and health of our entire community. It is also important that we show kindness and understanding to those who may be identified as a case of COVID-19 or as a close contact.

Spread of COVID-19 is currently happening in our community. This is why it is so important for all students and staff to adhere to the key public health prevention strategies to reduce the chance for transmission of COVID-19, including:

  • Wearing a face mask
  • Social distancing of at least 6 feet
  • Frequent hand washing with soap and water
  • Hand sanitizing when soap and water are not available
  • Staying home when you do not feel well
  • Disinfecting high-touch surfaces regularly
  • Not sharing food, drinks, cups and utensils
  • Avoiding large gatherings of 10 or more people
