Instructional Models For 2021-2022 Approved by BOE
June 10, 2021 -- At Tuesday night’s Board of Education meeting, the Board approved the Superintendent's recommendation to offer two instructional models for the 2021-2022 school year: 5 full days a week in-person, and a fully remote option. This also means that the District will not utilize concurrent teaching for the 2021-2022 school year. A committee of teachers, school leaders, support staff and administrators have been developing the remote option, and details will be shared once that work is complete and Board-approved.

These and all COVID-19 related decisions will continue to be informed by the Cuyahoga County Board of Health’s guidance. Should the pandemic situation change or worsen, the District will adjust plans as needed per CCBH recommendations.

Calendar changes
The Board also approved the following changes to the 21-22 academic calendar that were proposed in May:

  • August 19 and 20 will be changed from Staff Professional Development Days to Teacher Independent Work Days. Students will not report to school on these dates.
  • August 23 will be Staff Convocation Day.
