Mar. 11, 2021 -- This afternoon, the District learned of a recent confirmed case of COVID-19 in a Monticello employee. The staff member was last in the Monticello building on Tuesday, March 9. Additional cleaning and disinfecting of the spaces the staff member occupied, which include six classrooms, the conference room, and the main entrance, occurred earlier today. The individual is currently resting at home. No close contacts (staff or students) have been identified.
If CCBH should ever contact you as part of a COVID-19 investigation, please cooperate fully to ensure the safety and health of our entire community. It is also important that we show kindness and understanding to those who may be identified as a case of COVID-19 or as a close contact.
Spread of COVID-19 is currently happening in our community. This is why it is so important for all students and staff to adhere to the key public health prevention strategies to reduce the chance for transmission of COVID-19, including:
- Wearing a face mask
- Social distancing of at least 6 feet
- Frequent hand washing with soap and water
- Hand sanitizing when soap and water are not available
- Staying home when you do not feel well
- Disinfecting high-touch surfaces regularly
- Not sharing food, drinks, cups and utensils
- Avoiding large gatherings of 10 or more people
